International Sportsmen's Exposition

I was able to meet some great legends in the fly fishing world through my work with ISE. I worked our shows in San Mateo, Denver, and Sacramento over the last month. It was great seeing all of the interesting travel options we offer people, and to meet some people I never thought I would, like Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, Brian O'Keefe and Jack Dennis.

Alaska!

I went to Cordova, AK in September, and had a great time catching Silver Salmon! It was a wonderful trip, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We saw lots of eagles, moose, beaver and even a couple of bears. The fish weren't running strong, but I still brought home 150lb. of Salmon and a bit of Halibut. We went out for one day on a charter, but it was not very good fishing. The Halibut were small (10-20lb.) and we didn't catch any Ling Cod. My Father caught one Rockfish.

I would totally recommend it to anyone, and even though the fishing was off a bit, it was still better than the best days down here in the lower 48!

Another nice Silver

Fishing on Saturday

Checked out Capitol Lake with my son, Jason. We saw lots of king salmon fry jumping, but no cutthroats eating them. We left there to go up to Mcintosh lake and Offut lake, and see if we could fish on the Deschutes. The lakes were pretty developed, so we needed the boat we didn't bring. I couldn't find the area to fish the river, I guess my Delormes is out of date. Next time we need to hit the salt water I guess...
